Website Build Agreement
Version 1.0 · 24 September 2026
This website build agreement sets out what we supply, the initial SEO set-up, the price and payment, the timescale and the handover of your new website.
Between Interactive Website (“the Agency”), East London · info@interactivewebsite.co.uk · https://www.interactivewebsite.co.uk
and the customer named on the order (“the Client”).
This Agreement incorporates the Terms & Conditions (version 1.0), which you accept at the same time. Your order confirmation — package or site, price and order reference — forms part of this Agreement. Where they conflict, the order confirmation takes priority, then this Agreement, then the Terms & Conditions.
1. What is being supplied
- Ready-made site: the site and domain named on your order, with your business details, logo and contact information added from your brief, transferred to hosting in your name.
- Website package: the pages and features described on the package you ordered.
- Mobile-responsive build on phone, tablet and desktop — always included.
- Revisions: two rounds, unless your package says otherwise.
2. Initial SEO setup
Included with every site: page titles and meta descriptions, heading structure (H1–H3), image alt text, XML sitemap and robots.txt, schema.org markup, Google Search Console and analytics setup, Google Business Profile setup or claim, submission for indexing, and keyword mapping for the pages built.
Not included unless ordered separately: an ongoing ranking campaign, link building or monthly content. Initial SEO gives the site the best possible start; no ranking position is promised — see clause 3 of the Terms & Conditions.
3. Price and payment
The price is the total shown at checkout, payable in full at checkout. Domain renewal after the first year and any hosting or care plan are not included unless stated on your order.
4. Timescale
Typical timescales, in working days: brief received → first draft 5–10 (ready-made sites 3–5); revisions 3–5; final approval → live 1–2. The clock starts when payment has cleared and the completed Client Brief has been received. Delay in supplying brief material moves every date by at least the same amount.
5. What the Client provides
Everything listed in the Client Brief: business details, logo and brand colours if any, service and pricing information, photographs, text or approval of our drafts, and access details where an existing site or domain is involved. The Client confirms it owns or is licensed to use all supplied material (clause 5 of the Terms & Conditions).
6. Handover
On receipt of payment in full the site goes live on the Client’s domain, the Client receives administrator login details and a short handover guide, and the domain is transferred into the Client’s name where included. Hosting and maintenance are not included unless stated on the order.
7. Acceptance
By ticking the acceptance box on our order page and continuing to payment, the Client confirms they have read and accept this Agreement and the Terms & Conditions v1.0. The acceptance record — date, time, IP address and the version of both documents — is stored, and a copy is emailed to the Client and to the Agency at the same moment. Only after acceptance is recorded is the Client taken to the payment page.
